Tucked-away spot in Millpond Village run by friends and family - you feel it in the room. Got the mahi, Quesa Birria, Sonora steak, and skirt steak (group also had shrimp). Quesa Birria with broth on the side is the move. Thin seasoned chips, generous avocado, spicy house sauce. 4.6-taco must-go.

Four of us went on Saturday night. We've been to Millpond Village a bunch and had no idea this place was tucked back in the corner overlooking the water. On a nicer evening I bet the patio is great.
Our server Miguel was so into the food and the restaurant that I asked if he was family. Turns out he is. Long-time family friends with the owners. He said pretty much everyone working there is friends and family. You feel that in the room.
Anyway. The tacos. Group of four, five orders, some came with three, some with four. I ended up with four and a half.
As a group we got the grilled mahi, grilled shrimp, Quesa Birria, Sonora Steak, and Skirt Steak. I had all of them except the shrimp. We did corn tortillas because of an allergy in the group, and honestly I think that upped the score. The tortillas were great.
Steak and mahi (and apparently the shrimp too) all came with a generous chunk of avocado. You can see it in the photo. The skirt steak was tender and full of flavor. Every taco dish also came with a side sauce, house made, name escapes me. It was good. It was SPICY. A little goes a long way.
Top taco of the night: the Quesa Birria. YUM. Crunchy shell, cheese on the bottom, then beef birria and toppings. Closer to a street taco style. Either baked or pan-fried before plating, which gave them a hot crunch. What made them next level was the birria broth served alongside. Dunked, it tasted way more like an authentic Mexican-style taco.
Overall, great experience. The chips and salsa were a good kind of different. Thin chips with some seasoning on them that added a nice touch. The 4.9 on Google checks. This place is a must-go. Next time I get my haircut around the corner I'm grabbing tacos to go.
"Tucked behind Millpond Village. Get the Quesa Birria. Dip it in the broth. The 4.9 on Google checks."
